Hello children of God! I pray all is well with you on this lovely day. I was struggling to bring you a word today and had to call on my Mother in Christ. She begin to tell me that we have to renew our minds and meditate in order to hear from God. Our minds have to be still and clear in order to hear from Him. Daily, we have to allow the mind of Christ to be Lord over our natural minds. Joshua 1:8 says it best, ““This Book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good success” Brothers and sisters, I have come to tell you to renew your mind in Christ this day.
Did you know that one of the characteristics of renewing your mind is meditation? If you think about it, it makes a lot of sense. Think about it… If you have a test, what do you do? You study; study and meditating is one of the same. You are saturating your mind with information, thoughts, and/or plans over and over. Your mind then will begin to convert and submit to the thing you are feeding it. Therefore my people, if you are struggling with something in your life today, all you need to do is pick up your word and begin to meditate on what God says about your circumstances. The best place to start on how to do this is to visit Philippians 4:8, “Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy- meditate on these things.”
In order for you to conquer those things that so easily beset you, whether it be sin, the issues of life, or hurt, you have to transform your mind. This act will change your thought process, and subsequently your actions. Don’t just sit there and accept those bad thoughts or circumstances, however begin to incorporate wise, pure, and uplifting thoughts to take over your mind. Where can we find these kinds of thoughts you’re wondering?… in the bible. Start today and not tomorrow. Begin to think on those things that will bring you closer to God and not on those things that will push you away from Him. Psalms 104:34 says, “May my meditation be sweet to Him; I will be glad in the Lord.” My people, I want you to realize that God can read your thoughts; in fact, He is the only person that can. So begin to receive his adoration by thinking on those things that will bring him the glory and you the victory! Now go in peace.
