Obedience is Your Remedy

Sis, God has already told you to let him go, but yet you’re still holding on. You’re searching for man-made signs and acceptance as proof that you’re not out of the will of God, but you are and your spirit reminds you daily. Where the spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. Where’s your peace, sister? The disturbance you encounter cannot be prayed or fasted away-

Remember, DELAYED obedience is equivalent to flat out disobedience. God sees what you can’t see sis; He can see the heart and intentions of the very one you’ve decided to keep despite the red flags and warnings.

God wants you to do things His way- submit and you will NOT be disappointed. When will you learn from those around you that have repeatedly said, “I wish I would’ve waited; I wish I would’ve heeded to God’s words; I wish I would’ve allowed God to choose for me.” When, sis? Do you want their same testimony of regret, unnecessary heartbreak and disappointment?

You may feel as if God is punishing you with each “No”, Not yet”, “Let go”, “Don’t”, “He’s not the one”. But on the contrary – He is PRESERVING you sis. You are indeed that special that God won’t allow you to be with just anyone. I remember the wise words of my spiritual Dad, “You marry a destiny, not a person.”

Will you allow yourself to be Overlooked To Be Handpicked by the ORDAINED AND APPOINTED ONE? You are not alone sis. Your sisters are waiting too. Let go. Let God.

Worship or Worry While You Wait

Good morning children of God. I pray that all is well with your spirit this lovely day. Today’s devotional will be a piggyback of what my Pastor spoke on last night. During the praise and worship session, God used one of our Praise Leaders to say out loud, “Worship while you wait”. This was magnificent because it allowed God to manifest his words within our hearts. This really stood out to me because it makes sense. Pastor Flanagan said, “You have to wait anyway, but what are you going to do while you wait on the Lord, will you worship or worry?” My people, God want us to realize that there is power in our worship. He wants us to know that worrying will not make things better, however worship can turn your whole situation around. So, God is asking you this morning, will you worship or worry while you wait on me?
Let’s start out by seeking what God is looking for. For Jesus said in John 4:23, “But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.” My brothers and sisters, how will you utilize your time while waiting on the Lord? You may be waiting for God to heal your body or someone dear to you. You may be waiting on the Lord to heal your marriage. You may be waiting on the Lord to send you a husband/wife. You may be waiting on the Lord to bless you with children. Whatever you may be waiting on the Lord for… IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT YOU WORSHIP HIM! Do you know what worship does? It not only pleases the Lord, but it also ignites your faith. If you began to praise God like you already received your blessing, your flesh can’t help but follow and submit to God’s word. My Pastor said that when we worship God it sends a sweet fragrance to the Heavens. Did you know that in Heaven the angels constantly worship God? Therefore, what makes us better/higher than angels? The word says in Hebrews 1:6, “But when He again brings the firstborn into the world, He says: Let all the angels of God worship Him.” It is our duty… we were born to worship the Lord!
Why would you choose to worry instead of worship? Does worrying heal your body? NOPE. Does worrying place money in your bank account? NOPE. Does worrying convince your husband/wife to come back home? NOPE. The word says in Matthew 6:27, “Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature.” God is letting us know here that worrying will not ease the mind battle, it will not make you stronger, it will not bring peace to your soul, and it definitely will not resolve the issue at hand. The bible talks about Hannah in the book of 1st Samuel. Hannah was a woman who could not bear children. Her husband had another wife, Peninnah, who could bear children and she would torment Hannah continuously about her barren womb. One day Hannah decided to stop complaining and worrying and she finally opened up her heart to worship God. Because of her worship, God remembered her and she then gave birth to a child named Samuel- who became a powerful Prophet for the Lord. Do you see how your worship will allow God to remember you in your trials? Begin today to make a declaration out loud that from this day forth you will make the CHOICE to WORSHIP God rather than worry. Now go in peace.
Prayer for today:
O Heavenly Father, I pray that you will place worship in my heart and remove worrying in Jesus’ name, Amen!
